A RAINY DAY

A RAINY DAY

Sometimes it rains for the whole day during the rainy
season. The sky is overcast with clouds. At first, it drizzles. A little later it begins to pour down. Water flows through gutters. There are flashes of lightning. It is followed by claps of thunder. The drops of rainfall on the earth with great force. They raise bubbles on the water. Sometimes a strong wind blows and lasts the trees badly. It is called a rainy day.

The rainy day has its own importance. Nature clothes herself in beauty all her own leaves of tress seem bathed in water. The gardens look charming. Birds make merry sounds. Frogs crook here and there. Crickets begin to make sounds in thickets. People enjoy the beauties of Nature.

The rainy day is a blessing as well as a curse. It causes untold misery to many people. Laborers have to go to their places of work in the rain. They cannot sit inside their houses. There is poor traffic on the roads. Very few people go out. The rain spoils their clothes and shoes. Muddy roads become slippery. Stray people wade through the water with umbrellas over their heads. Many houses in the village fall down and their dwellers have to suffer a lot of trouble.

                                         OR,

We all know that the seasons bring great relief from extreme heat and extreme temperatures. The monsoon rains serve as a great refreshment for every animal in our environment, but with this great relief it also brings a number of dangerous diseases.

Monsters host many diseases like jaundice, food poisoning, typhoid, malaria, etc. Our children and the elderly are at higher risk of this kind of infection because their immunity is not very strong. People with health conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular problems, and weak lungs are more likely to be affected during the monsoon season. So it is very important to be extra careful about your health during the rainy season. Let's talk about some of the things that can be done to reduce the chances of getting an infection and stay healthy this whole season.

One might wonder what is the need to drink that extra glass of water during the rainy season? The answer is that during the rainy season it takes extra time to evaporate from the body due to high moisture levels of sweat which creates problems in releasing heat from the body. It is advisable to drink plain instead of carbonated beverages as these reduce the levels of minerals and interfere with the acidic balance in the stomach thus weakening the digestive system.

Our digestive system tends to work at a slower pace during the rainy season so it is best to eat moderately if you feel hungry. Over-feeding in the rainy season can cause digestive problems and be a susceptibility to jaundice. Eat vegetables like Karla, turmeric, and neem capsules which have antioxidant properties and are effective in boosting the body's immunity. Fruits like bananas, apples, pears, and vegetables are also good for keeping your immune system at its peak and keeping your digestive system healthy.

Mosquitoes are their deadliest during the rainy season and it is very important to prevent mosquito bites as they can cause malaria. This can be done by removing all stagnant water from places like flower vases, air coolers and using mosquito repellents.

One of the causes of health problems during the rainy season is eating out. Outside food is very likely to be infected with bacteria that can cause serious problems such as food poisoning. So it is better to skip eating out during the whole monsoon season.

In addition to these regular exercises, avoid getting wet in the rain and keep your hygiene levels optimal. Keeping all these small things in mind will help you to enjoy great health with your family.

If you Search the net, hackneyed articles will all suggest that during the winter or summer season you should check out Ooty which is one of the more popular seasons for tourists. But is there anything as beautiful as rain?

Ooty, being a hill station you must be thinking that it will be at risk of landslides and other catastrophes that are naturally associated with your superstitious mind! But Ooty is different from the highlands of the Himalayas and where the risks are high in the sky!

Nilgiris is much more peaceful and enchanting! In contrast, Ooty shimmers and sparkles during the rains. Fountains of the lake fed by clouds and leaping gracefully! Ooty Lake, for example, is one of the must-visit places in Ooty, a source of joy when the rains are its guardian!

Then there are gardens like the Rose Garden or the Botanical Garden that look so green and colorful when the rain kisses the leaves or the frogs crawl around the mushrooms! The rain in the land of this poem is so sacred and beautiful that you will feel the flutter of a goose even while standing on the veranda of your hotel and sipping your morning coffee!

And we haven’t talked about the joy of the toy train yet! Yes, we agree that heavy shower toys can cancel train journeys! But if the rainfall is moderate then you will only like the purity of the photogenic mountains as soon as the potato rains! Anyone who carries a Nikon camera and claims to be a photographer is beyond comparing the beauty that this city will preserve for your lens! The whole sky will become your canvas when the clouds cry in the buckets! Draw as you wish and get more out of life! From choosing Ayurveda to taking spa treatments to trek, green forests and humid weather will play the role of the perfect animal in your aspirations!
