Relaxing is as simple an exercise as any you have yet learned, and one which usually is so elective that it surprises those who practice it regularly. No effort is required at all to achieve perfect relaxation. As with everything else, practice brings better and quicker results, but right from the start, it will be obvious that you are benefiting from it by two minutes.

 

 

How to choose a relaxing room and position
 

 

First of all, find somewhere you can be alone and undisturbed. Funnily enough, this can even be on a crowded rain or similar public conveyance, so you need not confine your relaxing to a room where you can be shut off from everybody, although this is, of course, the ideal situation. Sit, or lie, where you can be comfortable. If you are still feeling some strain somewhere, find a cushion or pillow to remove that strain, or move your muscles until the stain disappears. Some people find it useful to just slump in a chair loosely, or to rest their legs on a stool or cushions. Some can even be comfortable standing up or leaning against a wall.

 

 

How to relax yourself

 

 

Once you are quite sure that every part of the body is comfortable, close your eyes and order each part of your body to relax. Feel lose any tension may have there. If, at first, this does not seem to have much effect, don't worry about it. Your mental order to them will have the desired effect after a few days. Don't try to elaborate on the order. Continue with the rest of yourself, legs, body, arms, fingers, neck, head, and face. Do not hurry your instruction, just move steadily from one part to another. Pull in your diaphragm and expand your lungs. Normal shallow breathing cannot do any good at all. Following this, just do nothing but feel mentally relax slowly and clearly. If, at the end of this complete exercise you wish to make your daily orders to your subconscious healthy person, do so by all means. It needs little effort after a little practice to relax anywhere you wish, even in a crowded place, just so long as you can close your eyes and divorce yourself from whatever is going on around you. Practice daily without fail and success will come easily and naturally.
