Answer: "Honeymoon" is a magnificently written story by Katherine Mansfield based on the theme of affection, happiness, doubt, selfishness, and control. This story was published by her husband, after her death in 1923. In this story, there are two main characters George and Fanny. The young couple, George and Fanny, is on their honeymoon on the Mediterranean coast. George is a forceful and positive character and Fanny is hesitant and uncertain about herself. During shopping, they decide to go for tea to a restaurant on the seafront. George patronesses their cab driver, and Fanny feels a sense of unease at the freedom afforded her by her state of being as a newlywed. At the restaurant, George behaves uncivilized manner with the manager and Fanny admires his masculinity but wonders if he wants to understand her. When they are taking tea, a small group of musicians begins playing. Then the group is joined by an old man wearing a faded dress who sings in Spanish with passion and fervor. As Fanny is a well-manner woman she moves by the experience and wonders existentially about the cruelty and suffering in life. But George reacts differently. He feels optimistic and physically stimulated. In such a situation, George suggests that they should go back to their hotel at once before the man can start singing again. So they leave the scene.
